JIM YOU"RE MY HERO!!!!!! I'm sorry you're getting stupid and rude replies, you came on here with a sincere questions and you get dumbass replies. But as JimM pointed out Jr is a 2 time back to back Busch Series Champion (only 6 drivers can boast that) with 17 Nextel Cup wins and the winner of the 2004 Daytona 500. He is the most popular and favored driver. (Sorry guys just stating facts, just cuz you don't like him doesn't make this statement untrue) He also became the first rookie to win the All-Star exhibition race. He's won the Talladega race 5 times and he's been in 7 music videos. He's also a very likable guy and hardly anyone has issues with him on or off the track. Good Luck and tell your little guy to have fun!!!

I know of a nurse that has a Junior tatoo but she did not get the number 8 but the "J R ' like the J R motorsports logo.
Claimed because her husbands initials are JR is why she got it.

I know a guy who has a big #8 on his arm. He will go bonkers if Dale Jr. don't get to keep his number. I also know a girl who got a #2 tattoo on her ankle when Rusty was driving. Now everybody thinks she's a Kurt Busch fan. My advice would be never, never get a name or number tattoo because nothing is forever.

I have serveral tattoo's related to my children. As much as I'm a Gordon fan, if I ever decided to get a NASCAR related tattoo, it would probably be the NASCAR logo itself.....it's about the only thing that won't change.
Past drivers with retired numbers are about the only NASCAR number tattoo's that make sense. Anything else can change.
I'm sure there are lots out there with the #8 on them! Seems like the commerical was signs of what was to come...LOL

No, but there is someone driving around my area(Upstate South Carolina), with a 98-99 Monte Carlo done up as the #8 Budweiser. Now that's really gonna suck to redo.

One of my friends' husbands is a HUGE #8 fan and has his logo tatooed on his right ankle. I teased him about it once and he said he didn't care, he would always be a fan.
Oh well. It's his body.
I would never tattoo anything on my body, let alone a NASCAR nuber...they change too quickly.

Whats your point?? Just cuz he may not drive the 8 car doesn't mean that the number doesn't mean anything to his die hard fans! It represents where he started in Cup racing and I guarantee he will drive the #8 again before he retires from racing!

yea I do, and I think its is funny, I dont like tats as a rule, for other reasons than Jr, they have a way of not being what you want later on in life, this is a shining example...a chance to say I told you so...lol
