Ok so on Monday my grandpa is getting surgery for his skin cancer.He has it on his cheek.So I am asking if he could die from this opperation?

No, he will be fine. He may well need follow-up treatment such as chemptherapy or radiotherapy, which can be tough, but he should get through that OK.
Just be there for him when he needs you. I wish you and your grandpa and all your family the best of fortune.

It is highly unlikely he will die from this operation.
While it sounds really dramatic, it is actually a rather minor operation. That isn't saying that skin cancer is ever minor, it should always be taken seriously.
The some operations to remove skin cancer can often be carried out with just a local anesthetic.

Try not to worry too much, I am sure Grandpa will be fine.
