winamp will always increases the volume or what ever u want in the equalizer.

what palyer are you using..try winamp..then install some plugins like this one:

http://kppfree.altervista.org/ - ---download the winamp enhancer....its good....

but it is better to have a Good speaker and a sound card...

Try better speakers or a better sound card FIRST.
