Pick your religion

For the purposes of this answer ‘Faiths’ are included in religions because the semantic word play will not be acknowledged.

Most religions claim they their book is divinely inspired.
Some actually claim it to be written by their god.
Most religions claim to be the true religion.
Most religions say that they have proof of their religion being the true one yet all the arguments are circular therefore invalid.
Because of this, all religions say it is about ‘Faith’ and following your heart.

So, because the above is true then all religions are equally valid.

Most religions claim to be the way of love and peace.
Most religions have killed to convert.
All religions are different but claim to have commonalities.

Therefore it follows that they must all be dilutions.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think that it's a matter of clarity. I think that if you want to worship God, or, come to that, Gods, then the way you choose is best for you. I take the view that there are probably multiple beings or spirits of higher power than us (And please, don't dismiss this, I'm normally quite scientific!) and that as long as we live a generally good life then we can be accepted.
I feel that we should learn to accept other people's beliefs, and not try to force ours upon anyone else. If Muslims and Christians disagree with each other, and with Jews and Pagans and Sikhs.. that's their problem. What is religion for, but to give us a motivation to live a better life, and the hope that this life doesn't end blank and empty? As long as your religion makes you feel content and happy, who's to say it's wrong? Not me, certainly.
A "mess of different beliefs", you say? No, I don't think so. I think that if we only accepted that others want to believe differently from us, that's their business; it works for them, and that's what matters.
I was raised a Christian, the fact that I changed my beliefs proves nothing. I'm not a different person and I still do my best to be kind and accomodating to others, I'm still the same person.
If your God has given us the right to choose your own way to worhsip him, be thankful. Be glad that you're not tied down, and that you can find a way which suits you! Be merry!

There is God. It is true that He wants to worship Him, but for our own sake. He doesn't particularly need our worship, because He is already self-satisfied and worshiped by countless qualified devotees in the spiritual world.
The problem is that although He very clearly indicates how to worship Him exactly, we due to our imperfections and material contaminations, manufacture our own imperfect ways of worship. Therefore, it is not God's fault, it is our fault to have a mess of many so-called religions. Real religion is one and that is given by God directly. Man made religions are imperfect. This world is a world of cheaters and cheated. The question is: do you want to be cheated? If you are sincere, then God, who is within your heart and knows everything, will direct you to the real religious process for attaining Him.

If? God does not tell you everything because what would be the point if you already knew it all? Life is more about the experience. A father does not want worship, he wants his children to be happy and live fruitful, he already knows if you accomplish that then you will return the love he has for you. You see, by this very question you are reaching for him and that is good. Understand that everything you need is provided for you and more, your dreams can come true.

First of all, I'd like to say that I am a Christian so this is from a Christian's point of view. God made us humans, not robots. He gave us all a cerebral cortex to think and decern for ourselves. Because of this, we can chose to rather worship him or not. How do we know God is real? Well, through faith of course! =) But it's not just that, miracles really had happened before and witnesses testify them to us. Pastor, preachers, vicars all tell us the word of God and we feel moved by it. It's not about feeling actually, nor is it thinking, it's something very spiritual. Try going to a church in your neighborhood and sit JUST for 1 service. It might seem boring at first but believe me, some things just happen without you even knowing. =) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Therefore we must all go to hell. But now, there is a belief in Jesus Christ that you can go to Heaven so why not just try it out (in your language). lol. I was like that at first, "Why not just try it out? Nothing wrong will happen..." But then, you'll start to understand and do things FOR God not for Heaven. =) There are other religions in the world maybe not because Satan is decieving. Maybe it is a course of change in language. At first, the world was basically one big hunk of land. Well, people started to reach and spread outwards from the garden of Eden (African Savana, near Tanzania. Watch National Geographic! =) ) During that time everyone knew 1 religion. Well, after the Tower of Babel, Or after years of spreading out (in an atheistic point of view), languages started to develope, and different places have different languages. Languages started to change and words for meaning started to alter. So, God, might become Allah, or Tanyositlopai, or Budhha. Because people were so spread out, philosophies started to develope, which mixes into the religions after generations. Because of this, 1 religion became many different religions. Animal Sacrifice to God became Human Sacrifice for the Aztecs. God's love became Releasing suffering from life which is Buddhist. You see, things changed, and philosophis, rumors, and alot of other issues added into the religion, which in a sense changed the basic religion. I'm not saying Christianity HAS to be the 1st religion (though I believe so) but I believe you get the idea. In Greece there was 1 unknown Great God that everybody worshiped during 600 B.C. In China, there was Shangti, in the Aztecs world, there was the Sun God. You see, actually all religions are relatively related. You just have to find the one right true one.

which is probably one reason many of us do not believe there is a god...a search everyone has to do on their own...i don't believe in the devil either...so satan is not deceiving...i think perhaps it is the rulers of the individual religions who are the deceivers...look at who makes the money and who really believes...perhaps you will get your answer there...

My dear, whether you believe it or not, there is God, and whether people like you believe it or not, that will not hinder me from following God. As to denominations, the Bible is there to guide so that no one should deceive me.

The correct answer is that there are no gods in reality, so people are free to make up all kinds of imaginary religions... and they do.

He made it clear in the Bible. It is not His fault that people reject the bible and decide to create their own religions.
