Just when I am starting to think that there is nothing like fate, something happens that makes me think otherwise. Your classmate whom the teachers declared least likely to succeed has just been appointed a minister or Ambassador. Amongst your classmates who were always in the top 5 is a drug addict, a porn star & a con man. All of the above might surprise one but each & everyone is man made & therefore can be altered. The kid who seemed most unlikely to succeed had probably taken up the challenge of life & deveveloped himself in every which way & the smart kids never knew any better because all they ever heard were accolades & therefore needed not to go the extra mile.
To a certain extent we must believe in fate for as long as we have no explanation for certain developments. E.g; Who or what determines who wins the lottery? Why should a hard core criminal serving time in jail suddenly win millions in the lottery? How come the son of a drunken Austrian custom officer who became a lowly non-commissioned officer want to rule Europe & almost did.
Definitely we can take a hold of our lives to a certain extent; We can alter our lives for better or worse. There is the innerself which is stronger than any thing around you.
Develop yourself spiritually & mentally & you might just determine the fate of others around you.
It still holds true that THE RACE IS NOT TO THE SWIFT NOR THE BATTLE TO THE STRONG.

Yes, fate is very real. The problem always arises when we try to decide for ourselves what parts of life are fate, and what parts are under our control. We usually guess that the bad things we couldn't avoid were fate, whereas the good outcomes were a result of our superior decision making. Neither is true. Fate is being in the right place at the right time with the right attitude...but you don't get to decide which part is fate. i.e. it wasn't your fate to be there and stop little Jimmy from stepping in front of a car, it was your fate to be there so that Jimmy would recognize you 20 years from now when you need his help. Think of it this way. Fate is God doing his work; and your chances of predicting it, controlling it, or understanding it are non-existent.

Fate???? Everything in life is pre-prescribed?????
I believe that souls have an ending point. To get to that point we must travel the road through life and choose which way to turn at the crossroads, if we turn the wrong way in this life we'll be back to try again! It's a bit deeper than that but thats the basic thought!!!

I believe that fate exists but that we are not slaves to it. I believe that there is balance in all things, fate and free will. I think fate presents certain people and events to our lives but it is our free will that determines what we do and how the event will unfold.

depends. if it's over some guy, then no, because we don't really know if it's meant to be. in terms of friendships, then maybe. i mean, finding that one person who's always there when you need them, lending a hand, reaches out to you, and who is everything you want out of a friend is hard to find, however for some they are able to find that, and that's where fate occurs. the reason i say i don't believe in fate over some guy is because sometime's, even though it is out of your control the way you feel towards them, there are others that you may feel the same way towards. i mean, you don't go through your whole life with just one boyfriend. yet we get feelings for them just the same. i don't know about fate with family. i mean, i was fortunate to have the greatest grandmothers anyone could ask for. yet, my parents are different. i get scared of my mum, and i get a little scared of my dad because he listens to my mum. and then i got stuck with sisters that are equally alike as one another, making it harder for me to fit in. so yeah. in some areas, i believe in fate, but in others, i dont

Absolutely, one hundred percent. Things happen every day to show we are guided by fate. It doesn't mean I always understand why fate leads me or others in a certain direction.

Any way to be frank i sometimes feel yes there is fate, but sometimes feel things change b/c of our action.I like to side with one if anyone convinced me.
