Toyota carina '96 1600,runs smoothly and quietly ,but goes onto 3 cylinders,periodically for a short distance

It has new plugs ,filters,& oil.It doesn't leak,smoke or dribble,the distributer cap and leads look OK, but the accelorater appears stuck when the car is first started.

Well From what I know the toyota's need a Special Brand Spark plug. Make sure you using Denso brand. Its because their engines run hotter and tighter clearances and regular brands like Autolite, champion, Bosch, A/c Delco wont live very long in that engine . And make sure its gapped right. And as for the Accelerator pedal being stuck you might need a new return spring Or lube the cable with a very light grease. Is the Check Engine light on at all?
