Cabaret starring Liza Minnelli. Good script set to a fantastic soundtrack. Quirky and a little unsettling I thought, but a great movie.

well, my personal favorite is Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.
It's an awesome movie, not quite like anything made before it, very original, with one of the most unique and iconic movie characterizations ever in Captain Jack Sparrow,
and I just love it because no matter how many times I watch it (and I've watched it a LOT!) it never fails to keep me entertained and make me laugh.
But to answer your question, the best movie of all time, for you, is the one that you like the most! :O)

ET, dances with wolves, Cast away, The sixth sense, Moulin Rouge, Garden State, Shaun of the Dead, Almost Famous, Catch Me If You Can, Groundhog Day, The Incredibles, Stand by Me, Oceans 11, Big, the Goonies Empire of the Sun, Romeo and Juliet, Trainspotting, 13 going on 30 (Im not embarrassed I really enjoyed it!)

Subjective- the Basic instinct, makes me horny
and Objective- is the Braveheart -I think is the best movie ever made.
