November to April have the best water temperature.

May to September have the best surf - most people wear wetsuits.

Sydney has a lot of beaches. Not just one big one. If you are big beach people then you should head further north to Queensland. The weather is much nicer and the beaches are way better than Sydney. Some Sydney beaches like Bondi are just so overcrowded in summer that you can't move. There is also problems with people pinching tourists bags and belongings. I would steer clear. For a honeymoon you will want something relaxing and romantic right ? Queensland is the go then. Do some research into areas around the Great Barrier Reef. It is really beautiful up there and a popular honeymoon spot.

No doubt about this question the best month's to visit the beaches in Australia is from December to January, but if you are a bit adventurous then the months before & after these months are still ok as we have been know to have some really hot weather in these months. If you are going to Queensland then you can swim for more months as this state is 1 of the hottest ones.Alot of people swim all year round & you guessed it in winter;rain, hail, sleet, & below 0 temperatures. So it all comes down to how game you are as you can swim in the beaches all year round, but do be warned in the peak months it can be severly over crowed with people,so if that's not your thing then look into more seclusive beaches as we have many.

Depends what you want. If you want to check out girls, go in December and January when the weather is really hot and the girls are too. Australians take their annual holidays then. All of Australia is pretty loose, but Sydney, with money, is the easiest of all.
