Any speculation on what will happen Harry and the gang at the end of book 7?

1. Harry is not a horcrux! (This idea makes no sense in light of the prophesy for one, and why would Voldemort put part of his soul into someone he might have to fight anyway). Also, were that the case, Harry can't vanquish Voldemort unless he let Voldemort cast a death spell at him, then cast one of his own at Voldemort, because all the horcruxes have to be destroyed before Voldemort can die.

2. Pettigrew still has a debt to Harry and that debt will be collected upon.

3. Neville will find his strength and confidence.

4. Bill Weasley's marriage will be the scene of a big fight, and maybe the death of one of the major characters.

5. Draco Malfoy will not be a major factor, unless he admits to himself that he is in over his head with the Deatheaters and turns coat.

6. We will find out that Harry is Dumbledore's heir, and among the things he gets is the pensieve and a bunch of very instructive memories.

7. Deaths: First, we are assuming that either Harry or Voldemort dies. I believe that Harry lives, because it is a children's/YA series after all and the central character of such series never die, JKR will not buck that canon.
Otherwise: My handicapping, in order of likelihood (IMHO):

Ron, Percy, Pettigrew, Fred/George, Neville, Lupin, Hagrid, Hermione, Petunia, Dudley, Tonks, Mr./Mrs. Weasley, Malfoy, Ginny, Bill, Fleur, Luna, Snape.

8. Couples (assuming they survive the book): Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Neville/Luna, Lupin/Tonks (and I think these two will marry by the last chapter).

9. Finally, about Snape:
Snape is Snape. He is beyond the sort of simplistic categorization as "good" or "evil", IMHO. I do believe he is not as evil as he appeared at the end of HBP. It would take too much space to really go into this in detail, but consider this:

It is well known that Snape played the double-agent prior to the death of Harry's parents, and there is no reason to believe he wasn't still a double agent on the anti-Voldemort side. Why then did he bind himself to the success of Draco's mission and then actually kill Dumbledore?
My answer: Dumbledore knew that destroying Slytherin's ring had fatally wounded him and Snape knew so too. Therefore he allowed himself to be bound to Dumbledore"s death, a death he knew was imminent and against which he knew Dumbeldore had taken precautions to ensure that his death would not derail the anti-Voldemort movement.

Now, on the other hand, if Snape has turned coats; why did he not kill Harry* or disable him and take him helpless to Voldemort? JKR made it clear that Harry is no match for Snape as a wizard (yet). If you look at Snapes "taunts" at Harry and put them into anyone else's mouth, they're very good advice on what Harry needs yet to learn to fight strong adult wizards on anything like equal terms.
My answer is that Dumbledore at some point shortly after Harry was orphaned made Snape take an unbreakable vow to protect Harry. This fits in perfectly with Snape's actions toward Harry in the books thus far. Yes, Snape is a mean SOB to Harry, but that is Snape's personality, and he didn't vow to be nice to Harry after all.

My conclusion is that in Book Seven, Snape will act covertly and eventually overtly to aid Harry, that he will likely live, and that Harry will be just as in the dark over Snape's motivations as when Harry entered Hogwarts. (BTW, the above is why I don't think Harry will die. If I'm right, then Snape dies too if Harry dies, and Snape is the ultimate survivor).

*My reading of the prophecy is that there is no requirement that either has to directly kill the other, just that one no longer lives, so I think Snape certainly could have killed Harry and talked his way out of it afterwards

I do believe that Voldemort will not triumph. I think that wormtail and snape will have some hand in his downfall whether it is deliberate or not. I do not think that Snape is loyal to Voldemort. In HBP Dumbledore ordered Snape to do something he did not want to do. This may very well have been Dumbledore telling Snape to carry out his vow to help Malfoy and kill Dumbledore if necessary. i do believe Dumbledore is dead but as Harry said not gone until there is non at Hogwarts loyal to him so he may yet have a part to play. I also have a feeling we have not seen the last of the DA. There will be a betrayal but not within the Order of the Phoenix but within Voldemorts ranks. I am sure there will be more death as well as more romance. There is one other thing that has been mentioned every so often in the books. Harry is not the only one who has known Voldemort intimately for want of a better word. Ginny was befriended by the book and possessed. She has a reason to want to fight Voldemort perhaps more than Hermoine and Ron.
I would like to see Harry and Ginny together and I think it would be a nice touch for Harry to end up teaching at Hogwarts. We already know he is an apt teacher.

I think Hermione and Ron will get together, or Hermione and Harry. I think it's quite obvious that Voldemort dies, well hopefully! I think ever thing will end happily, one way or the other... I think Harry will break away from the Dursleys and live by himself. Also I think Harry will meet his parents one more time. I think this final book will be the best in the series as it will tie everything together!
What's your opinion?

I don't think harry will die because jk rowling can't let voldemort win. But Harry and Hermione definitely won't get together, jk rowling has said this on her site and anyway hermione likes ron.
I think that in the 6th book when dumbledor and snape have a fight its because snape told dumbledor that he had made an unbreakable vow to kill him and snape is saying he doesn't want to but dumbledor tells him he has to. Then at the end snape looks disgusted because he is disgusted with himself because he has to kill dumbledor and when dumbledor says please, like he is pleading he is telling snape to kill him not not to kill him. If that makes sense :)

and about the couples, will people NEVER get it!!!!!!!!!! Harry loves ginny NOT hermione, jkr has said thid countless times so LISTEN to her, she is the author! Ron and Hermione, Ginny and Harry, OK??
And Neville and Luna will never get together jkr has said that too, luna would scare neville and they are both loners and will stay that way.

I think Voldemort will die whether or not Harry does... And I think R.A.B. is Regulus Black.
And, Harry may have an upper hand over Voldemort because Wormtail is in his debt as he saved his life. Remember the 'bond' Dumbledore mentioned in 'the Prisoner of Azkaban'? It might come of use...

I hate to break it to you but Harry has to chose between keeping his powers or keeping his friends. He saves his friends then loses his life. But the sadness is short lived because Harry finds himself in another world. He reunites with his parents and together the walk off into a colorful mystical landscape. Endings are always beginnings. It's the beginning of Harry's new life. Don't you know the good always 'die' young?

i think harry will die because
1) in book 6 (or 5 cant remember) it said as long as one is alive the other is as well (or somethink like that) so that will mean harry will have to die
2) it will stop people to ask for a new book and brings the potter books to an end

I think Voldy and Ron or Neville will die

My DH thinks Voldy and Snape "saving the kid's butt again" will die

I think Haryy will grow up and live a happy peaceful life with Ginny in fictionland.
The kid deserves it.
