Maybe I'm wrong about this, but Barbie seemed more...intelligent.

I remember astronaut, teacher, doctor, musician, mother, Barbies, but all I see in Bratz dolls is skanky clothing.

i desire Bratz win. Barbie has shot down each and every doll it really is come alongside and that's no longer good. Barbie doesn't play honest ! Jem replaced right into a rock superstar so Barbie became a rock superstar. Maxie replaced into the girl next door so Barbie had to get a cousin to step in for her because she's too a lot of a tramp. The list might want to pass on.. in actuality Barbie isn't satisfied except she's variety one. it really isn't any longer good. i imagine that's time for Barbie to step down because the kind doll Queen.

Dolls will always be a part of a girls life, but how they perceive the dolls are individual preference...However,if the comparison is made between the years of generations using them,...Barbie generations ('60's-70's) are career orientated, striving to preserve youth, and have made strides in the work forces of today...Bratz
generations (late '90's -2000)are centered more towards self employment, a "me" generation with lack of respect for preservation among society...*Just my opinion though..=)

I think both generations will continue to be obsessed with looking young and perfect, but I think the Bratz generation as a whole will be much more selfish and less aware of what is going on in the world around them.

Our little girls are bombarded with sexual images. Twenty years ago our female pop idol was squeaky clean Debbie Gibson or Tiffani, compared with Britney Spears. Barbie is to Bratz as Debbie is to Britney. We idolize anorexic, slutty celebrities and dress our little girls like prostitutes.

I think that self-image is becoming attached to perceived sexual attractiveness at a younger age.

When I was a girl, Barbie and Ken got maried on a weekly basis, complete with white wedding gown and tuxedo. Now I see the little girls make their dolls go clubbing in skimpy outfits. One little friend of my daughter actualy said that she was making her dolls "do sex."

I am very concerned about the premature sexualization of our little girls.
