Stuart Lubbocks father has wanted it re opened. But some new evidence must have come to light.
I thought it was wrong that they never told the truth in the first lplace, Barrymore said no comment throughout the inquest. The anal injuries he suffered were blamed on the ambulance staff! How ridiculous. Its obvious they were caused at that party, and someone knows how. Barrymore has got what he deserves Im afraid. I though it was pretty slimy to try and wriggle out of it then make a come back.

It was. Starts father was not satisfied that Micheal Barrymore was NOT GUILTY. Micheal welcomed the case to be re investedgated for the sake of Starts family.
What happened that night is not wished on anybody and my deepest sympthy gos to Starts family but i really do feel it is time to leave Micheal Barrymore alone and let him live the rest of his life in peace as he deserves. I honestly believe what happened that night was a terrible accident and Micheal had no control over what happened. My thoghts are with the family but also with Micheal, i hope this will clear his name once and for all.

I thought it was closed. Perhaps some new evidence has come to light. Didn't Barrymore run away to Australia or somewhere over this? I hope the Lubbock family get the answers they are looking for after all these years.

I spotted this when I logged on - it's on Yahoo news. This is a real turn up for the books and I dread to think what the tabloids will make of it. How they got off before amazed me, because it seemed that their was clear evidence of a sexual assault. Ambulance men! How did they get away with that one!
Well, there'll be something new to chew over now I suppose!

Its about time! Barrymore acted awful suspicious, running away to hide when the police arrived on the scene. No smoke without fire

I went to a party back in the early 80s and he was there with his now dead wife/manager Cheryl. He went upstairs with another guy at this party and she turned a blind eye, he was out of control then. In the end she went home and left him to it. When he came out as gay she acted like she was shocked, but their marriage was a sham. He lived a lie during his marriage and I believe he is living a lie now because he is more than capable of it. He is good at playing the victim. I hope the truth outs.

Northerner is wrong. The "double jeopardy" rule where you could not be tried again if found "not guilty" was abolished. The case can be retied if new evidence comes to light.

I thought someone had been tried and found not guilty of that crime years ago too. I thought you couldn't try someone else for the same case. Obviously I'm wrong. Scary though - being tried ten years down the line!. What where you doing on the night in question?......Ahm!...I cant remember that far back. Guilty!!!!....
