We all like to vote for someone from our country, of course, which may explain the answers for Tendulkar. Clearly he is not the best batsman at the moment.
It would be very hard to make a case for anyone except Ponting, at the moment - astonishingly, in both forms of cricket.

Look at all of these stupid Indians saying that Sachin is the best batsman still...
Someone even said that he's still the best despite his poor form, wtf... that doesn't make any sense...
Looking at the form of the past three months (World Cup included) i would say that Mathew Hayden is currently the worlds best batsman but Ponting is up there, if not better... Kevin Peiterson is also very good as well as Jaques Kallis and Herchelle Gibbs...

In my thinking Sachin is not best batsman in world today, but now-a-days Ponting is best. Hed is rocking all the charts. Still all indian should not forget Sachin for his contribution.

if u consider tat he has played for over sixteen years and still has one of the best averages in the world not to metion all the other records he has to his name u cant but say tat Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is the worlds greatest batsman
