I adore Bono for many reasons; to me he's a hero and a legend. Now my boyfriend, who is also Irish, makes fun of me for having a crush on Bono. Fair enough. But what's not cool is that he has tried to convince me that Bono has a major addiction to cocaine and that he likes wearing womens' high heeled shoes.
Did I miss something? I just can't remember any of this. Was it in the 80's, when I was a kid, or what? Which one of us is badly misinformed?

The only times any member of U2 has been mixed up with drugs is when bassist Adam Clayton was arrested for possession of 19 grams of hashish in 1989. Bono has never one been associated with drugs or drug abuse. He has also never been associated with wearing women's shoes, unless you count the video version of "One" in which all four of the band mates were in drag.
Tell your boyfriend he's a tosser and over 100 million fans can't be wrong about their hero.

Your bf probably jealous of Bono. The cocaine thing for sure is bullshit. What he has done for the world especially to the third world nation is something that all peace makers are looking forward to.

Ask your boyfriend what he has done for world poverty, third world nation's crippling debt, the sufferers of AIDS, people that are starving, etc., and then ask him what Bono has done, "coke and high heels and all". Even if Bono is a "freakazoid", he's done a whole lot more for the world than your boyfriend.

He is indeed a legend, he has done so much for the world, especially with the Red campaign and so many people admire him for this. However, I have heard rumours about his drug abuse years ago and also a long standing affair with Andrea Corr! How true this is I don't know but I know I've heard it from several sources, not just one.

I think that skirts tend to either look kind of cheap or trashy if they are tight and short, or they are really just the run of the mill jean skirts that aren't necessarily sexy.
