They're are some who only want to hear themselves talk. They feel the need to hide from the world, also.

Liberals only want free speech, when it is their free speech. But that of course goes both ways,we unfortunately live in a world where the ones who seem to be heard are the absolutists on the left and the right, they are extremely vocal and combative and usually drown out the 80% of Americans who are centrists. You know the 80% that could actually work together without stomping on each others ideas? Like right now that 80% comprises most of the 70% of the population that opposes the SHamnesty bill on Immigration, yet it looks like the extremists on the left and right will get their way yet again. It's dead for the moment, but the open borders extreme left, and the extreme right who want the middle class either destroyed or weakened are still fighting for it,and could very well still get their way. If nothing else it has been nice to watch Americans in the middle stand up for something for once.

It starts when you begin all your sentences with Liberals or Libs. It feels like a personal attack. Same thing for Neo-Cons and Cons. It is an open invitation for insults and negativity. I don't see you doing it in a vicious manner but I see others here that obviously just want to start something. I might point out that your question is directed that way because it's not necessarily liberals doing it. Trolls are just trolls. I want and welcome objective opinions myself.

in all likelihood a similar reason some conservatives declare they're pondering unfastened speech yet checklist and block all that don't trust them. i've got had a minimum of 30 cons block me. a minimum of. I answer questions respectfully and don't troll. yet, nonetheless, cons block me. recover from your persecution complicated. the fact is, that immature people who do no longer prefer to be disagreed with will block and checklist. See my profile for extra clarification.

blueridgeliving - you're wrong...I get it. I have liberal friends and hardly get an opinion in edgewise. The biggest example I get from liberalsAREe my friends. I think that they are misguided but I don't think they're completely stupid, my friend graduated at the top of her nursing class! I think sometimes it's just the "Hollywood type" of liberals and their fans that like to block and report insult. Typically the younger generations will do this...I was young and liberal once ya know? I tried to do the same type of "shut your mouth you conservative!" thing when I was younger.
As always, I feel that members of ALL groups still don't get what our forefathers meant by freedom of speech and I think they never will :(

Free speech does NOT cover lies, slander, libel, personal attack, inciting violence, and/or harassment.
And yes -- I know you guys don't get it.
****************************
To Eddie: Hmmmm......sounds to me like you don't get it, either.
Free Speech is a vehicle to share political ideologies, share information, express religious views. It is a sacred, vital right. Free Speech has NOTHING to do with abuse or personal attack or harassment or lying or inciting violence or personal slander or libel.
And it has already been established, over and over and over, that Yahoo deletes BOTH sides, and apparently all you have to do is REPORT somebody, there's no discriminating or logic to it at all. I got deleted for posting the word, "yawn" for god's sake.
I find it absolutely side-splittingly hysterical that the right is even attempting to stick up for Free Speech when bush has legislated snatching people out of their homes and throwing them in jail for political dissent.

Not true for ALL liberals. I even have conservatives on my contacts. I like a different point of view presented in an intelligent and adult manner.
The only ones who have blocked me are cons. It works both ways.

Well, I think that it has something to do with a genetic memory of their species... as in, at one point in time, a liberal actually listened to logic and got a headache.
