there is a bus due at 10.20 but for the past couple of weeks it's either been late, or has not shown up - so, should I even bother going out to wait for it in the rain? or should I try for the later one?

go for the later one,it might be the earlier one you were waiting for came late or go for the earlier one it might be really late from an earlier day or go for the one you go for normally but go earlier because it might be on time or early but probably be late again.............I think you should stay at home

The bus will probably turn up, but then not stop, and splash all the water from the puddle in front of you all over you, much to the amusement of all the passengers therein. And then the later one won't turn up.

Go for the later one - no point standing there, getting wet and irritated waiting for a late bus.

Try the later one - rain is too wet to stand in for long.

The bus always turns up shortly after you decide to walk when you're half way to the next stop.

I'm sure the bus will turn up somewhere...something that size would be difficult to conceal, I would imagine.
