They recorded a reunion album with Perry in 1995, but he suffered some medical problems before the tour and they replaced him with a sound alike. There's been a pretty deep rift between the two camps ever since. With that said, I'd be willing to bet they do a reunion tour next year. They were always dismissed as corporate rock during their early 1980s reign, but recently their music has been featured in tons of movies and TV shows. There's a buzz about them they haven't had since Evolution came out. I bet they cash in on it - even if they hate each other.

I just saw Journey this past fall in concert and Soto's voice was incredible. However, the drummer sang exceptionally well; he sang Open Arms and Faithfully, and they could get by with him. Perry is not returning; he burned that bridge, and having watched him sing Don't Stop Believing with the White Sox, his voice is gone!

I hope so, that would be awesome. I saw Steve Perry on a solo tour a few years ago, and his voice is even more incredible live than recorded.

It'd be something of a miracle, but I'd lean towards doubting it. My gut reaction would be for them to pack it in, but I suspect they still have enough of a following to still draw decent crowds. They'll likely push on. Just doubt it'll be w/ Perry.

I doubt it, unless they get honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or unless they back up the money truck to his house.
