Between the 3 players that you have named, Tendulkar and Ganguly's inclusion is somewhat justified because of their performances in the just concluded series against Bangladesh and the Afro-Asian Cup. Agarkar is the odd man out. He does not have anything to merit his inclusion in the side.

asking right question at right place..... a star for you......
you said it.." old wine in new bottle".... " ghoom phir ke phir wohi team samne kar di jisne world cup boori thrah se haraya tha". Right to say here Indian team is not playing well, a bunch of bcci working committee members are playing well behind the wall. No other option, let them play till they last or till someone take Indian cricket seriously and put all the good efforts to achieve best cricket for the nation.

Since all the senior players can be dropped all of a sudden and induction of new players can be done only in phased manner and not overnight, I do not think that the selection of team for ODI in Ireland and Test Match in England is a bad choice.
Depending upon the performance of these players in these matches, further chopping will be done.

i think its a good selection,
The bowling attack is really weak wiht absence of munaf patel,VRV singh,Pathan wiht Only Zaheer and Sreeshanth present, a experienced bowler is need and Agarkar is a good choice,
Ganguly and Sachin are still the best batting options avaliable in the country,so there selection is wise

BCCI is BCCI,
they are not learning from mistakes
just earning.......
It is our fate, again we have to see Ganguly and Sachin staying at the crease with concreted legs in ODI...50 from 125 balls, 100 from 250 balls...They have to realize now it is not their turn, it is the turn of players who can sparkle - Gilchrist Hayden Ponting Dhoni Uthappa Yuvraj Jayasurya Jayawardhane Smith Gibbs Afridi..........

We are not selecting players for bringing victories to our beloved nation. we have to spent the money we got through cricket for which we are a selecting a team consisting of old players. we are not for cricket but for money only-BCCI

Why you are not talking about Rahul? He is also the same old wine. But, you one eyed Jack, you don't know the old wine is the best wine.
