Pursuing a degree in Law requires one to be competent and proficient in the subject. So how can i ensure that i can grasp the language well? I'm a Science student anyway.

I don't know if will be of any help as you sound busy, but a part time job, it does'nt really matter, where only English is spoken would maybe help. In this situation you have no choice but to improve to fit in.
Alternativelry, hire a private tutor and just speak English, preferably one with experience of law so you can become more familiar with the specifics of the use of legal English.
(Some schools do the total immersion method, for example French speking parts of Canada, where the kids just go in and have all their lessons in the language to be learnt.)
