A little white poodle that I named Buttons. The silly thing was super hyper and I wouldn't want it near me so my mom gave it back to the people she got it from, I may of been 5 or 6 years old.
Sometime after that we got a dachshund that was very well behaved. Her name was Missy and my mom breed her but she died of an infection a couple days after her 3 pups were born by emergency c-section. We kept her 2 daughters Candi and Cissi and we gave their brother Yogi to a friend of a friend.
(This took place in the early 80s.)

A former circus owned South American ring tailed monkey injured in a train wreck so my dad bought Jimmy. He was rather an ornery little cuss but cute and my dad had him in my former large playhouse at his place of business and it sure brought in the customers and kids. We kept him in our heated basement in the winter time both in a cage and he could be let out and was then attached to a long wire that went around the large room there. If he got annoyed he could scream and you could hear him a block away!True story

I had a pet shell. I had heard about people who had pet rocks and I wanted to be the same but different. Her name was Shelly, of course, and I would wet her every day to bring out her colors.
