You know what I mean like in Austin Powers when Dr. Evil said the word "lazer".

not me, but got a friend who does.... we call her The *air quotes* (the we say out loud... then we use our hands and make the air quotes.. )

I'm guilty, I have...I do it sometimes when Im talkin to my b/f, he gets a kick outta it. I definitely dont do it to be serious though, only jokin around.

No, completely not neccessary. A simple he said that or she said this, suffices quite nicely. Or there is always: And I quote..........
