Yesterday I asked if I could have a skip outside of my house. They said sure! I could go for a jog as well if I liked!!!

If you pay council tax then you are already paying the increase. It took effect this April in response to the annual review. I have been paying council tax (and variations) for 30 years, it never goes down.
It has bugger all to do with immigration.
That is a serious issue, but council tax increases are not the fault of immigrants, they are caused either by waste, poor government or the need to increase expenditure/investment for new services.
eg If you have more computers in schools use of electricity and other consumables will rise. The children need these new skills, they never had to be taught when I was at school as most companies didn't have PC use in their operations.
Not all the education budget in central (set up yes, running costs no)
Councils do a very poor job in explaining the good things they do because they waste so much!

Yet another way to take more money from everyone's pockets. I live in a tiny house and my council tax is huge every month. It means that I can't even afford to live on my own, so I'm still having to house share. Just wondering what I get for my council tax? Only a proportion goes towards the emergency services - my bins aren't collected regularly, the road is full of potholes and no one comes round to sweep the streets.......... that's my rant over for the morning!
