I prefer the dot ⋅ for showing multiplication.

The carat ^... I like using that, too, even in written mathematics in place of putting a parenthesis around an argument. The carat used to be used to encompass (and group) an argument by elongating it and placing it over the entire argument.

I hope + and - are pretty clear!
/ is used for division, and sometimes \ for integer division.
* is used for multiplication.
^ or ** is used for exponentiation (i.e. x^2 = x**2 = x squared).
Depending on the programming language or environment, "assignment to a variable" can be represented by =, :=, <- or others.
"is equal to" can be represented by =, == or some others.
< and > are the same as normal, but in combination as <> mean "not equal to" (≠).
Other equivalents of ≠ are != and /=.
<= is used for ≤ and >= is used for ≥.
Implication can be represented by => or <= in place of ⇐ and ⇒, and <=> in place of ⇔.
Logical implication can be represented by <-, -> and <-> in place of ←, → and ↔ respectively.
π can be written as pi.
Sums, products and integrals are typically denoted using the word itself or a shortened form, e.g. int (f(x) dx) for ∫f(x) dx.

^ means "to the power of"

* means multiply

/ means divide

+ means add

- means negative or subtract

() means evaluate the stuff inside first

For example, (x-2)^3 means "take x, subtract 2 from it, then multiply this answer by itself three times".
