Nancy Pelosi is wrong! It's not her place to issue "amnesty" to Dick Cheney or any other public official, by guaranteeing that they will not be impeached. Let the investigations show whether or not there is cause for impeachment, before removing it from the table. But more important is that if crimes HAVE been committed, we can't allow those crimes to become presidential powers (or VP powers, in this case) for all future Executive Branch officials, simply by not challenging them. And that is what happens - it's called precedent, and George Washington established many precedents that are still followed today, even though they are not inscribed in our law. Only when the Judicial or Legislative branches challenge these stolen powers, such as violations of the Geneva Conventions or the 1978 Presidential Powers Act, are they kept out of the hands of future Presidents and Vice Presidents.

I think he's targeting the wrong battleship. He needs to blow Bush out of the water before anybody else, honey. Bush and his ego are getting us in huge trouble with the world community and his reasons have not held up to the litmus test, not once. If the VP is at fault, then his superior the President is definately impeachable.

Because, to those with small minds, this action would look like revenge or vindictiveness, an action that we as Americans can use a lot LESS of in politics these days...

No matter how evil and twisted Cheney is, it seems ridiculous to pursue this at this time.

Hell yes she's right. The failed Bush administration has little more than a year until expiration.
