Many billions of years ago, before the universe existed, there was the potential for -anything- to exist. In the moment of creation which scientists call the "big bang" and which religious people sometimes describe as "let there be light" the infinite potential became that which is.

In that moment, the dimensions of space and time began to interrelate and the first of these dimensions was time, for without the existence of time there could be no other dimensions of space.

Time-space expanded rapidly into the chaos of nothingness. it is like a bubble or an expanding shock-wave spreading outward from the explosive moment of creation. In fact the edge of that bubble or boundary is the same moment of time we call "now", it is the present moment and beyond it is the future. The past is all that is and the future does not exist yet - space-time is still expanding.

We living things have the unique capacity to take advantage of this edge of the universe - this moment of change we call the present. All our processes of biochemistry use time to allow us to process energy and sustain our "living" condition by maintaining ourselves in a close relationship within the boundary of time.

We live because we have adapted to conditions of change on the very edge of the moment of creation.

Humans and other forms of life that have the ability to plan for the future are aware of the boundary. We can imagine tomorrow - the universe that will exist but does not - yet.

This capacity to see what is beyond the edge of the universe - even in a virtual simulation or mental model allows us to modify the potential for what "may be".

The uncreated future is still potential and infinite. Surfing as we do on the bow-wave of the moment of creation we can shape the path we will take and the shape of the local wave front by manipulating this potential with our hopes and our desires and our fears - by visualizing them within time we modify the inertial local forces of the quantum singularity we call "now". When we learn to transform this infinite potential into events and identities in accordance with our intention,
we call that "magic". Most often because we influence this ebb and flow of the potential unconsciously, it happens without our intention so we call it luck or say it is just "random" events. The difference that makes it "magic" is learning to do it on purpose.

It is often confused with Magick, which makes use of the base 13 power of the number 42; and majik, which is just plain silly.

Attendees engaging in the sacred act. There are numerous methods you may explore if you want to dabble in magic, f.i. rituals, spells, incantations, magical items, magical animals, etc. But some caution is needed. Magical animals for one may be quite annoying and cause you significant trouble with the powers of Evil. And most magic rituals are designed to make you look silly, rather than bring about the result you strive for in an expedient manner.

Any sufficiently advanced technology that appears to function beyond the rules of logic. Education dispels the notion that it is unexplainable.
Other than that, its all make-believe.
