For the hell of it, i'm gonna make my list in protecting with form of nationwide championships, and considering that your question states "of all time", i got here upon a itemizing for all CONSENSUS champions considering that 1869. convinced, those are all in branch a million, some before the split, some after. each and every of the communities' championships were gained at a time even as they were component of the major college football branch: a million. Yale - 18 Championships 2. Princeton - 15 Championships 3. Notre Dame - 13 Championships 4. Alabama - 10 Championships 5. USC - 9 Championships

I'm an Ohio State fan.
However, objectively, Notre Dame has had the best college football program of all-time. It used to be that whoever they wanted, they got. They have been down in the last decade, but overall they have the best program. They still have the mystique.
I don't think OU has the greatest program because of probation issues in the past.
Ohio State, Southern Cal, Michigan, Texas, Penn State, Florida, Nebraska, and Alabama all have had awesome programs. I would put Oklahoma in this group as well.

without a doubt, its notre dame!when you hear that name ,you automatically think college football.they are the only major that can pull off being independent and getting a major TV deal to boot. they are the only team that is shown nation wide on TV,no matter who they are playing.overall 176 all Americans have come out of notre dame only Oklahoma has been ## 1 more times than the fighting Irish 13 -11, but notre dame academic standards are still high which limits their recruiting some what.how ever when i hear their song(which everyone knows)i know its the best time of year.i get chills hearing that song at a high school game lol

At the end of the day, Notre Dame is the greatest college football program in history...Rockne, Leahy, Parseghian, Holtz, Montana, The Four Horsemen, The Gipper, the championships, the Heismans...

I think it's too hard to pick between Michigan and Notre Dame. They have the 2 highest winning percentages in college football history and they both have so many national championships, Heisman trophy winners and all-Americans that I couldn't possibly pick either team over the other.

Notre Dame. Through the 50s -70s, they could have gone into Oklahoma and recruited any player they wanted. They are that storied.

Norte Dame because they won more championships, they're well known, they have there own station to broadcast their home games, and they have a great history better than anyone else. Also a lot of people respect N.D. better then other schools. Norte Dame is college football's America's Team.
