Cricket is a game of mainly batsmen and bowlers. Both batting and bowling are specialised skills and as such it is very difficult to single out any player as best cricketer. In all fairness one should consider best batsman and best bowler.
I consider Sachin Tendulkar as the best batsman and M. Muralitharan as the best bowler.
