Ever think that you guys might be wrong?
Just this evening, there was a report from Austrian scientists that was released stating that Al Gore's theory about the Snows of Kilimanjaro were false. They found evidence that the snows have disappeared and reappeared in a natural cycle for millenia.
The ice caps on Mars are melting too. Also, cows put out more methane than all of the cars emissions on the planet. Should we feed them all beano?
This is nothing more than a political scare tactic, much like a similar one used about acid rain in the 80's.
The earth has cooled and heated in natural cycles since it's birth, without mankind's help. Just like all kinds of different life forms, it goes through a renewal process.
It's all natural, and as it should be.

I'm not a neocon so I can't answer for them. going over some of the answers I see typipcal lib bs tossed around... not true Havic but I guess you have to say something lol sure man has something to do with the pollutions but the argument is will man destroy this planet in 100 years or less. That is what Al Gore is saying along with others. Remember just 45 years ago some of the same scientists were screaming global cooling. Some even had a commercial on TV in the late 80's with Ted Danson saying "if we don't stop polluting the ocean it will be dead by the year 2000". Have you ever thought about what happens when a volcano blows it's top like Mt. St. Helens did a few years ago? It spewed tons of toxics into the air they said it was like 10 years of car exaust all in a few days, but a week later the air was clean again the sky was blue! The earth is a maraculous creation and has a built in cleaning sysem. More oil is seeped into the ocean in a year then all the oil spills combined yet it still goes on. If man kills anything it will be themselves with nukes and bio weapons not from driving their suv to the mall. But don't tell that to Al Gore he is on a roll he has already banked over 11 million profit from his movie and first book.

I don't know many people who believe that humans have nothing to do with it.
I just would like to see a more honest and comprehensive approach to it all.
As much as man has to do with it I think honesty to admit that things like solar activity and natural green house gas emissions also have something to do with it.
I would like to see a complete study that is reviewed by people of differing opinions so that we could have a study that examines more data and one that we can call fair.
( you have people on one side saying this group is funded by people with financial interests in green projects, you have another saying that group is funded by big energy )
And I would like to know that we can do away with the carbon credit thing. You cannot tell me that carbon credits are not an attempt to redistribute one countries money to another.
They dont make sense, you cant reduce the warming by polluting the same but letting one country buy its irresponsibility away.

I think one of the hallmarks of the neocons I know (not all conservatives, just the very far right ones) is their inability to look too far into the future. They're very concerned with the HERE and NOW, but many display a painful inability to see what the consequences of their actions and the policies they support down the road.
Witness: The Bush administration's easing up on pollution restrictions, which allows factories to pump more poisons into our water and air. You'd think that people would see that this is a terrible idea - especially folks in areas that don't have good water treatment.
Yet many people are okay with that as long as Bush gives them their $600 tax break right NOW.
Global warming's the same kind of thing. Folks aren't willing to give up their Hummers and their present comfortable lives in order to make a difference later. I'm not sure why some folks are so short-sighted, but you're right; they are.

From the research I've done, all of the supposed signs of global warming are nothing outside of normal fluctuations in earth temperature that have been happening since the earth was formed... Have the Libs thought of how much money they're pumping into the environmental lobby because of the Global Warming THEORY scare??
Gore said he was standing up to fight Global Warming 30 years ago.... bullshite... 30 years ago scientists were warning against a coming ice age due to global cooling!
If folks would do the real research necessary to check this out, instead of logging in to politically motivated sites to get their "data"... we'd all be a lot better off.
Notice, I'm not disagreeing with you that man, as a species, needs to be responsible in how the earth is treated... I just don't buy in to the theory of Global Warming... It's a scare tactic that keeps the Environmental Lobby afloat...

Honestly, I don't think anyone can accurately imagine the consequences of not doing something about global warming. Al Gore is putting a picture out there, but it could always be a lot worse than even what he's predicting.
I think human kind itself needs to kick it up a notch and do something about it if we want to continue to be human kind. We're not just killing off the plants an the ozone layer. We're killing ourselves, as well. You put an average of 1-2 pounds of global warming pollution into the air for every mile you drive. And then you go and breathe that in.
It's honestly time to put differences aside and do something about it. We need to not only be thinking about our future, but the future of our children and grandchildren. Do we want to give them a world they can inherit and pass down, or a world that they might not even be able to survive in?

We are NOT denying it, we just think the gov't should stop exploiting the issue for their own political gain. And BTW, if it's a "global" issue, what are other countries doing to help the cause? Why should the USA be expected to always foot the bill? This is where I have a problem.

Most "neocons" DO believe in global warming. However, scientists agree that the Earth has gone through many warming and cooling stages over the last couple billion years, and that it had NOTHING to do with us.
Should we take care of the Earth? YES. Should we panic, and start being extremists about it? No.
As long as we recycle, conserve resources as much as possible, take care not to drive more than is necessary (and utilize CARPOOLS!), and don't litter, the Earth should still be here for our children and grandchildren.
If we don't destroy it by nuclear warfare by then.

There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that man has anything to do with global warming. Actually there is plenty to suggest that CO2 is a product not a cause of global warming.
Watch a good movie on google video called the "Global Warming Swindle". It will give you some good information and introduce you to some real science not the corporate lies and scare tactics we hear from the media every day.
