You can't.

You could just ignore them or stop associating with people who speak about bad things. It does not matter in this case if it's a Christian school or not, because the subject is not really something casually to be brought up in a Christian school in the first place. There's so many things going on. Also, it does not mean that it's a part of the Christian faith or school to allow speaking of homosexuals like this. You sound like it is. Them speaking badly about anyone is not Christian anyways.

Good for you for standing up for what you believe in regardless of those around you. It's hard to find people like you know a days when being popular is regurgitating what everybody else believes around you. I wouldn't let what they say upset you. Ignorance and bigotry are what they are. Especially in high school. Just stick to your guns and simply point out that God loves ALL his children and he doesn't judge. Ask them if they live completely sin free? Do they? No. Nobody does. All we can do is try and be the best we can be and do what we believe us right one day at a time. Don't Judge lest they be judge. And he who casts the first stone......

You should also tell them not to worry about it. It is not their job to pass judgment or say what's right or wrong. That is God's job- not theirs, it says so in the Bible.

Good luck and don't worry, you know how you feel and what you believe and in the end and in the now, that is all that matters, High school will be over soon and then it's a whole;e different ballgame out there.

I'm so impressed with you that I just might be in love. Interested in an Avatar to Avatar relationship? :)

I am a Catholic but my feelings on Gays are purely personal. The law of the land states quite categorically that it is unlawful to be prejudiced against gay people on account of their sexuality. The same law gives and confirms the rights of a heterosexual man or woman. It has nothing whatsoever to do with my religion but it is a fact that I was indecently assaulted (minor) by a man when I was aged about seven years. I kept it a secret for so many years as I felt ashamed of myself. That man was a homosexual. I shall never, ever have any thrust in any gay person for that specific reason and I claim the right to feel the way I do..................

I went to a Christian school from age 9 to 18, and I still occasionally teach and tutor there now that I am older. Its easier than you think, really. Just ask them where it was in the Bible that JESUS said gay people were going to hell. Be honest about it. Jesus never once said a condemning word against anyone unless they were being hateful to their fellow man. Which these people are. They're supposed to be following in Christ's footsteps, so remind them what he was.

And, no, St. Paul is not Jesus. Jesus was a long-haired, liberal, hippy jew. <3

sorry to say this but you shouldnt defend gay people in a christian school as christians will only take it in the wrong way. im a christian myself and i have nothing against gay people. i'd rather stick up for them, however if i were to stick up for them in an environment full of christians, i'd be the one they'd talk about in a negative way, and i wouldnt be able to put myself through that. however, you can always stick up for them in the real world. nothing really wrong with that

Tell them that Gods loves everyone and that they should pray for them. The bible says do not look at the plank someelse's eye when you have an even bigger one in your own. The people that pick on the gays have sins of their own don't they. So what gives them right to judge other people.

Say, "Judge not that ye be judged". Then say, "I heard they kicked the last guy out of school for making discriminating jokes. Just a word to the wise." And if you really want, say, "I'd hate to have to report you for making fun of people. You know that's anti-Christian."

quoting bible verses about loving they neighbor, and not judging others because it is gods job only.

secondly you can try to disarm the verses in leviticus 20:7
by stating that the not eating shrimp is not valid for christians anymore, so why should not sleeping with men. the same goes for having sex with women while their ontheir period, and eating kosher foods. One cannot pick which rules in the bible to follow and which to leave behind.

how about that? p.s. dont try to use logic on christians, it doesnt work.

Gays are God's creation as much as straight people are. I think people are entitled to their opinions about gay behaviour but remember that all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, not just Gays. Jesus loves gays and died for their sins as well as for the sins of all mankind.

Get your act together, first time they say something, think of a rebuttal and remember it for next time (if it's too late to say it already), then, just stand up for us (I'm bi), when they say bad stuff about us, just retort and counter retort until you're kicked out of the class. Of course, you have no real obligation to stick up for us if you don't want to (as you could be punished by the school).
