The 5th, "The Order of the Phoenix", because we learn the question of why Voldermont went after Harry in the first place, or at least start to learn why. I am always amazed of people who have not read all of the series, or people who watch the movies and believe somehow they are getting all of the story. These really are great books all of them and the storyline is amazing. I am literally counting the days until "Deathly Hallows" (the 7th and final book) comes out. But I think you have got to have read all the previous books to be at this fevered pitch for it. Hopefully you will read them.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I like this book most because of the ideas of time presented in the book. Also, the plot gets darker and is the first time that I actually feel like I'm reading a mystery. THE PLOT THICKENS.

My favourite one is the 6th, the last one in the series so far. I like it the most because it's extremely interesting and it was very hard to put down. I like the end, it was very sad but how J.K Rowling phrased it was brilliant. She is a genius. I recommend the 6th Harry Potter book to anyone who like the series and who just likes to read a good book!

My favorite is the 5th book - order of the phoenix. I know a lot of people didn't like angry angsty Harry, but I think that it made him more real. I thought it was the most honest book and dealt with a lot of real life issues like government coruption. I'm not a big fan of the movies, but I'm really looking forward to this one since it is my favorite. I hope they do it justice.

Why haven't you read them all? Thats a travesty!
My favorites are a tie with the 2nd and 3rd. Chamber of Secrets is cool, because i like the tie up of the diary and tom riddle and the diary being a horcrux as is explained later and i love Fawkes in that.
The third one is darker, more mysterious and there is Sirius! and time changing and werewolves and wormtail!

Goblet of Fire is my favorite. I find it interesting on many levels, the basic plot, how the characters are growing, friction between Harry/Ron/Hermione as they mature differently. The themes about celebrity, governmental blindness, etc.

And of course that the story arc gets thrown into overdrive with Voldemort's return.

I like the first one, because everything was new and an adventure. I like the 4th on because it opened up the wizarding world. I also really like the sixth on because it set Harry up on a quest to become a man.

The first one was the best. And it was the only book in which Harry was the most happy. And no one important died, or nearly died.
