Horrible trade. You're giving (gave?) up one of the best starters in FB and the best hitter in FB for one of the best starters in FB. You basically gave away a player who would be a #1 overall FB pick today for free.

If you do this trade, say goodbye to your season. Peavy has been significantly better than Johan so far this year. When all is said and done, there stats will be around the same, so giving up the best bat in the game is just not worth it. Next time listen to your brother.

Hey Joe C,

It's a bad trade because A Rod is having a monstrous year. Peavy is also having a Cy Young like year- although Santana will be statiscally better, your not gaining so much in pitching that you can also give up a great hitter in A.Rod as well.

Kindly,

Nickster

Ouch... Sorry bro, but your brother is right. Peavy and Santana are about equal - Peavy's better this year even - and A-Rod's the best player in fantasy baseball this year.

Yea that was pretty stupid, Peavy is a quality pitcher, last year wasn't relflective, and Santana may have the better end year stats, but not that much better (if at all) and certainly not worth departing with A-Rod for.

It depends on your league, what its rules are, and who else you have on your roster. Santana is clearly a better pitcher than Peavy, so you probably came out ahead on that part of it. However, it is less clear when you are trading pitchers for hitters which is better a top hitter or a top pitcher. If you had gotten another top caliber player in return the trade probably would be a toss-up. Giving two to get back one, unless you have a very good third baseman on your bench, you probably gave up substantially more than you got.

Do not give up A-Rod for anything. He is having his come back seaon! I have A-Rod and he's my bread and butter, plus the Yankees are finally coming around. When the team posts good number, more than likely A-Rod was a key contributer

That was a bad trade. The good thing for you is if I saw this trade in one of my leagues I'd vote to Veto it.
