What I mean is...will the Yankees eight game run be attributed to the fact that the Rocket has joined the roster as a positive "force" of some sort???

What do you baseball heads think?

The Yankees had won 6 of 8 before Clemens started a game for them. They're winning because Abreu, Cano, and Cabrera are finally hitting. Their pitching has been much better lately also.

How can you call an 8 game run against sub .500 teams a new attitude? All of those games, the Yankees were supposed to win. Just because they have a winning streak against poor teams doesn't mean they have a positive change or as you call it "force". Until they win games against solid teams consistantly, they will continue to be underachievers. Let's wait and see what happens before we jump on the bandwagon and declare the Yankees back in the groove!

Dear Body Goddess,

i think the Yankees are winning because their pitching has been coming around, along with some timely hitting. Having Roger in the rotation may help them feel more secure, but he only pitches every 5 days.

Only the Yankees really know and i think considering Roger has many "perks" many of which include him not being around on a lot of days minimizes his ability to be a "dugout" leader. The Yankees also have al lot of vets who have been there and won- and i think Yankee pride is kicking in, along with the pressure of being Yankees.

Kindly,

Nickster

Stingray you are wrong. the D-backs are several games above .500. Don't try that argument to knock them down. Before the last 3 series' they took 2 of 3 against the Red Sox. They have taken 11 of 13 against Red Sox, White Sox, Pirates, and D-Backs, and one of those teams is the best in the league, another is several over .500 with 5 starters who have ERAs under 5.

I'm sick of everyone hating on the Yankees I know they are so for real and are making the playoffs. The Red Sox were crsuehd 12-2 tonight.

Roger sucks, its not big feat to beat the Pirates. And the Yanks were already streaking when he got there. Is he really worth 28 mil to pitch 5 innings of mediocre ball against a team in the cellar of the NL?

No. If you have noticed. Their schedule has gotten a little easier. The White Sox, Pittsburgh, and I know Arizona has a pretty good record, but I still wouldn't count them. When they win 8 in row against, Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, or the Angels. Let me know.

The media will probably give him credit. The truth is that the Yankees started their winning streak when he was still pitching to minor leaguers.

While i think it may have helped some i don't think of it as the complete reason though. They where already starting their winning streak before clemend made his official return.

Clemens should retire. He's got enough money. They should boo him back to Boston.

it has more to do with Giambi being out of the lineup than Rocket being in it.
