Music, when I actually listen to lyrics.. it means a lot. It means exactly, and simply, what the words are saying.

Music is everything. Its a person, always there for you, a form of expression. Its something that helps people connect. i certainly wouldn t be able to live without it. it breaks the deafening silence and is great for you if you have anxiety or any kind of problem really. I love that there is always new and old music to be found. Everyone has their own tastes in music. there is no right or wrong. music has been there for me through everything. it saves you in ways humans can t. Music can be about anything. Its always one of a kind;original. music is a type of therapy. Its also a drug. you know how when a person speaks to you and sometimes their words hurt? well that s the thing about music, when the words hit you , you feel no pain. the bass and/or symphony and lyrics and just everything comes together and its beautiful. its an art. there aren t enough words to describe what it does for people. There is always a song to describe how you feel. its a release. some people may even say some people have an unhealthy obsession with music but personally, i think they are crazy if they say that. there are always new songs to discover . it helps improve your brain. and i feel sorry for the people who don t hear it like we do. they are missing out on a whole new perspective of life. the people who can t go a day without listening to music i respect more than anyone because i can relate to them more than anyone. music is literally a friend, love, life, a purpose, meaning, statement, just EVERYTHING. No one can tell you why music means so much to them for everyone to understand. some people can hear it and understand it and others will never know. Whether we seem crazy to them or not we don t care. music is our life. and without music, life would be pointless.

Music (and I don'tmean the stuff that's cranked out to make you buy, but good real music ) is a confirmation that I'm not alone, not unique and a reminder that I'm part of something much larger than my own little world.
Good music can usually stand on it's own. The music and the words are two different things being forced together into something listenable, but it's not done well that often. Music is it's own language and it speaks directly to your feelings, bypassing the logic of words and the filtering of the conscious mind.
It tells me that someone else knows what I feel. It shows me that someone else has gone through this and come out OK on the other side. It lets me know that all these feelings are understandable and universal. We're not alone.

Music was my first love
And it will be my last
Music of the future
And music of the past.
It's a universal language.
My brother says maths is a universal language too but I can't understand maths. Music is easier to understand. I can take my E flat bass and sit next to musicians from any other country. We may not be able to communicate with words (except Italian; musical instructions are usually in Italian) but we'll still be able to 'speak' to each other through the music. We'll be able to understand whatever's placed in front of us and translate it into a beautiful harmony for everyone else to enjoy.
Tell me one other thing that can do that for us ... only music.

Music means everything to me. It makes me happy when I'm sad, it brings back memories, it makes even the darkest hour have light. Its something for when I'm bored, its something for when I'm not bored. Music always fits, I love it and spend all day listening to it whenever I can. Music means the world to me and I could never imagine living without it.
Its hard to describe how much it means to me, good question though.

Music is an expression of what someone wants to express. I love music because it tells stories of someones life or stuff that many people can relate to.

Lyrics to me mean nothing,.. they're not mine. The actual MUSIC, well, that's a different story altogether. I can get totally immersed in MUSIC,.. I don't like songs,.. anything with Lyrics,. I let the SOUND do the talking, *so to speak. ;)

Music is special to me. It fills my head 24/7, I'm always singing or humming... and every situation reminds me of a song. Sometimes I wonder if I'm in the wrong profession. :p
