Nothing. It's called free speech. Even the sedition laws have been taken off the books.

HOWEVER, you have free speech as well. KEEP SPEAKING UP!

As a democrat, I do the same, but in a different way. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME! If I remain silent, I am letting them speak for me. That's how socialists took over my party (democrat). I was silent while they attacked republicans, and they got powerful while I got chuckles. Then I realized I was dissing half the country (my fellow Americans and patriots) and the seditious in my party were undermining our nation with constant attacks on our representatives (republican AND democrat).

I'm not silent anymore, but I believe in free speech (even for republican talk show hosts - did you hear about Florida and Rush?).

Keep speaking up, respond to them, face them down every time.

I may disagree on how best to help our country, but I'll stand next to you on this issue, every time.

The first thing to do is find out WHY they "badmouth" the USA. Has it occurred to any one that even referring to the USA as "America" when it is a part of that continent and NOT the whole is to many people even on that continent some what offensive? Many people in the rest of the world, and that includes many allies, feel that the United States wishes to impose their own specific values and methods and culture on the rest of the world and that the USA believes that only it can be "right." The concept of "Manifest Destiny" certainly lead to the USA becoming great, but the continued attitude it has created amongst its citizens has not exactly endeared it to many people as a political entity.

MDK - considering the US gives less per capita and a lower % of GDP in foreign aid than most developed countries - and accepted foreign aid after Katrina - I don't think too many countries (other than Iraq and Israel) are dumb enough to rely on us when they need help.
