Since life is no bed of roses, why take the long way instead of the short? They lead you to the same place eventually. So, I'll take the short, rocky road. It depends on individual as to which road to choose. The short and rocky road is just a metaphor. It actually describe the journey that is short, but are full of obstacles at the same time. It is pretty rare for others to take the short and rocky road, but do we really need to follow what others do? We must decide our own, not to follow other's decision to carry out an action! Perhaps you will find the obstacles encountered during the journey are worth to face! Who knows you will gain more experience after choosing the short, rocky road? Expose yourself to challenges, and from there you will gain experiences. We have to learn to get out of our comfort zone to face the world where there are many other things waiting for us to discover!

I'd prefer a short, smooth paved road. I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to answer the rocky road, but I'm choosing long and smooth. It sounds more appealing to me.

I remember this cliche being a roller coaster or a merry-go round. Myself I much prefer the smooth road. Pot holes are all to often made by the driver of these said roads. Now even the smooth road has its issues, being mundane and boorish perhaps. But always reliable. At least you can look back on your spent youth and see exactly where you left your innocents.

Rocky and uncomfortable.
That's what makes me different (hopefully for the better) from everyone else.
I wish I could learn all the things i have on the paved road, but it just doesn't work that way.

That's an odd question.
I suppose I'd choose a to lose some comfort for a quick gain. In the end, while the long road is comfy, it's a waste of time and we all only have so much time to live.
