Its sounds like hes a little insecure. If its has been an ongoing thing it probably will not change, so its your call. Let him know that the old relationships and what you have been through is what has made you into the person that you are now.

i had a close girl friend of mine that had the same problem. there were times that she did give him space to think and realize what was really goin on with the relationship but no matter what she did to try to make things better, the guy would simply be angrier. it was like he could never get past the other realationships he's been with and therefore seems to make huge problems out of simple things in their lives.
i would suggest you try just one more time, just to see if it's still workable, and if not, i think now is the best time to pack up coz with a guy not wanting to change for the betterment of the both of you, there's nothing more you can do at this point.
don't worry about the 10 months time spent. its not the time you'll be regretting if you continue with this kind of hurtful relationship. love yourself and give yourself the chance to make your life better. good luck!

People don't usually change their behaviors. If he's doing it now, he'll always do it. Sounds like he's insecure. That's not likely to change anytime soon. If you're unhappy then move on. Ten months is not that long of a time compared to ten years of the same crap over and over again. If you've talked and he still won't listen then it's probably time to find a new man.
