There is this guy that I knew 3 years ago in Arizona and we were really never close at all. Then he moved to Virginia last year and I just came here. He invited me as his special guest to his birthday party this Friday and I'm going. I don't know much about him and I'm not trying to impress him at all, but as a student from a highly respected family I need to get him something right to the event and our formal friendship. I have never shopped for guys that I am not best friends with. I don't really know what to get him but I want it to be cheap, but valuable! Please suggest stores and items with a good price, no more than let's say $20, and any additional things to the gift. No gift cards please. Thanks a lot.

P.S. I'm under 21, to be concidered. So no drinks. No clothing, I don't know what his intrests are... Just give me ideas of general gifts. So far I have came up with walet, belt, a set of 3. So give me new ideas please. I also don't have time to make him something

Get him a nice writing pen. You should be able to find one in that price range. A pen is a good utility gift that will be used & appreciated.

I would say "No" to the wallet...speaking only for myself, a wallet is a personal item...would you really want a guy going out and getting you a purse?

You are really limited here...because as you state you "don't know what his interests are"...but again, speaking only for myself, I don't like the key chain/wallet/belt type gifts...they are a bit too "generic" and they kind of force the guy to wear a belt, tie, key chain, wallet that he may not like...

Does he have ITunes/Ipod? Maybe a gift certificate for some music there? But really, a gift card for Best Buy or even Target is a safe bet.

Good Luck!

Don't you wish people would read your posts all completely?

Well I believe you can buy a cheap, but brand and good clogne at Ross, or Big Lots for less than $20. Hmm look out for stuff on sale! I believe the walet and keychain is perfect. But again look through stuff and see what comes interesting to you that a normal guy wont have but would be happy to have?

i will vouch for call of duty international at conflict, that's a competent sport and has an outstanding stay function, might want to signify it completely. MarioKart does have an outstanding heritage, yet i have in ordinary words performed the Wii version once, i does no longer be hostile to it. The present playing cards can by no ability pass incorrect both, so in case you get an iTunes present card that's loose songs, or a Visa present card for very almost some thing. it really is what i might want to do.

i know you said no gift cards
but hell why not?
this allows HIM to choose the perfect gift for himself
best opt because you don't know him
maybe best buy gift card?
i don't know anyone that wouldn't be appreciative of that
