Dr. Phil McGraw better known as Dr. Phil from TV and Oprah Winfrey is a licensed real doctor.
Dr. Phil has a B.A. from Midwestern State University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from North Texas State University with a dual area of emphasis in clinical and behavioral medicine.
He founded The Dr. Phil Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization that is committed to helping children and families at risk. Dr. Phil graduated from the Midwestern State University in 1975 with a B.A. in psychology, and went on to get a Masters in experimental psychology and a Doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of North Texas.

Oprah made Dr. Phil who he is today. He was on her team when she went to court here in Amarillo, Texas over the beef thing in the 90's.
