I would love to see Peavy start game but if Hamels starts i don't have a problem both are having great years but the ERA is just the difference maker.

I'd say right now Peavy has been better overall, but there is still a month before the All Star Game, but it will definitley be either Peavy or Hamels. It doesnt really matter who starts, cause they will probably both end up pitching in the game anyway.

It's between Hamels, Peavy and Penny. I think Peavy might get a chance since the game's in California but Hamels looks like he might be the most effective starter right now. I hope all three get in and pitch shutout innings.

I think Peavy deserves the start- as he is currently the front-runner for the Cy Young currently. Plus between the two who would you rather pay money to see: i'd rather see Peavy than Hamels.
i think that Brad Penny should also get some consideration - althoug he started for the NL last year.
It should be very entertaining... As long as the National League wins- i'm stoaked!

Peavy has been great. As of right now, I think he will get the nod to start the all-star game probably against Beckett of the Red Sox. Pretty good pitching matchup! Of course, don't count out someone like Brad Penny of the Dodgers either.

If stats have any meaning in the world, it has to be Jake Peavy who has been flat out dominant this year.
However, don't sleep on last year's all-star starter, Brad Penny, who has been fantastic this year. There is a duo of Pirates pitchers that no one is recognizing but have been very, very good in Tom Gorzellany and Ian Snell.
Hill (CHC), Smoltz (ATL), Morris (SFG), and Oswalt (HOU) also deserve some recognition
But I think Peavy and Penny are the only two justifiable picks on stats.

It boils down to the pitching rotation for the teams they play for. If they would have to start in the All Star game with less then 5 days rest there is no way they'd do it. It pretty much comes down to that.

Honestly does it really matter either way your probably going to see them both in the game that's what the all-star game is for oh and determining the home field advantage for the world series.
