Yes, it's safe. It can get dirty, with soap scum, which means you will just have to clean it, but I wear my necklace all the time, I never take it off.

No, I wouldn't wear it in the shower. Take it off and set in someplace safe EVERY TIME so you'll go there and put it right back on after you are dry ... but Pewter can turn green if it gets wet, ant that green can come off and stick to you, and you don't want to ruin your beautiful new necklace nor do you want to have a 'green neck. Take if off and put it right back on when you are dry. Do the same if you go swimming ... you can actually buy a small cloth envelope to hold it so you can always find it in your bag ... better safe than sorry.

im not positive but i think that it is probably ok because people wear their GOLD wedding rings in the shower and they are just fine
