Even though I'm a punk/indie kind of guy, I have to go with "Tomorrow" from Annie. Only because it really does hew more towards my personal worldview...even after what seems like the worst possible day, you know that the sun'll come out the next day...

"I believe in miracles" by The Ramones.

The whole song hits home for me but if I have to narrow it down, the lines - I believe in miracles. I believe in a better world for me and you - really get's to me.

Most people are so cynical sometimes and they always say the world sucks but listening to those lines repeated over and over again in the chorus makes me feel hope and that maybe we can change the world for the better.

The song actually is everything I value. It's a love story, It's about redemption, survival, hope and seizing the day, at least it's what I get when I listen to the song. Others might interpret it differently but that is the beauty of lyrics.

The The - This Is the Day

"Well you didn't wake up this morning cause you didn't go to bed, you were watching the whites of your eyes turn red."

This song just fits now, I'd say an Oasis or Beatles song would usually be up here, but I've been trying to get stuff together in my life, and this song actually inspires me (even though it was in an M&M commercial). Usually listen to it in the morning when I'm starting my day just because it makes me think about the upcoming day.

"The New Black" by Every Time I Die.

"Baby, you got me all wrong.
And maybe, I'm not at all down and out.
I'm high and I'm in.
Don't you know who I am.
I'm the jaded one with pop insensitivity.
When I finish struggling,
We can make our way to the dance floor and stand like Strangers in an elevator.
Stuck between stories.
I always find myself, in the middle of your stories.
With the cameras as a witness I will suffer.
Everything I do is wrong.
But by god I do it right."

It's mainly the last two lines. I used the whole first verse so, you, the reader, can better understand it.

The Guillotine - Escape The Fate or The great Escape - Boys Like Girls.

They're both odd songs to think you're related to, but the deeper meaning works. xD

Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come

There been times that I thought I couldn't last for long
But now I think I'm able to carry on
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will

the distillers
the gallow is got

and all my heart it sings suicide. and how my gallow sinks of black dye. and how my death march brings a tear to your eye. and how the noose it swings when u die

the distillers
drain the blood

im living on shattered faith the kind that likes to restrict your breath never been a better time than this to suffocate on eternal bliss.
in a city that swells with so much hate you seem to rise above and take its place the heart pumps until it dies drain the blood, the heart is wise

"Only God Knows Why" -Kid Rock

The line that MOST gets me starts near the end...

I said it too many tiiimes, and it stiiiill stands firm
You get what you put in, and people get what they deserve!
Still, I aaaaiiiiin't seen miiine! No, I aaaiin't seen mii-hine!
I've been givin', just ain't been gettin'
I've been a-walkin' that there liii-hiiine
So, I guess I'll keep on walkin' with my heeaad held hiiiigh
I keep movin on... and only Go-ood knows why
Only God
Only God
OOooonly God knows whyyyy

I'm not really a Kid Rock fan, but that song's just... damn.
