If you type in discountchinatours.com in either yahoo or google and it comes up. That means your site is listed. Either you are just spamming your link to think people on Y! actually want to tour china or you really need to learn some SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Let's not chase the Page Rank, SEO Ranking or any other kind of ranking. Let's make Google come to us my friend.
I'm going to refer you the Bible of optimizing for "clicks" that will count and come often.

There is a Canadian medical doctor who has seemed to hit the nail on the head on this one....and it has nothing to do with medicine.

In his simplified and non descript philosophy, it's how you write, and the passion for what you do that gets Googles' spiders attention.

Write you site content as though you were talking to a friend in your living room or across your dining room table.....or as though you were talking about a good book you just read.

There is something that he calls the Long Tail philosophy of SEO optimization/CTPM and it lays out just what you are looking for. You can find it by following the links below to Dr. Ken's Blog.

Once at the blog, scroll down to Recent Posts", then to "I hate to say I told you so" but..........Once there , click on the link to the Tao of CTPM and follow it to the PDF file.

You'll discover how to make the SEO's beat a path to you website, and a whole lot more.
Good Content drives drives Pre-sold Traffic, which then only has to be Monetized by you, the "Good Content" provider.

Except for some spamdexed metatag entries, i.e., "China tour," [which is repeated some 5 times], your domain name is currently listed on Google.com's search directory. Unfortunately, if you want to promote more local traffic to your website, you might want to include in the metatag, where your base of operation is located, i.e., city, state. Are you soliciting the whole world to come to visit your site, or do you want someone from Canada to actually come into your travel agency (?) and book a China tour. Not wanting to seem foolish at this time, you should limit your Internet audience to those Internet surfers within a certain nearby geographic area.

Good luck!

 2007-06-13 18:41:34 · answer #3 · answered by Anonymous · 0⤊ 0⤋

this will show you how to get started building links and getting traffic, It is my myspace profile, just read the blog post.
