You should definitely ask if they have a license (and see proof!), find out who the owner is, how long they've been in business, how many people they represent, what percentages for paying work look like, average earnings people they represent receive, what typical types of jobs they get, and find out if you can get a copy of their contract.

It depends. Are you meeting with the Agency because they want to sign you as a client, or, is it a "getting to know you "meeting"?
