I have recieved an appoinment letter from Western Geco Ltd.How can I make sure that it is not a scam?

The fact that the phone number is a mobile phone is a give away.
Have they given you an email address. If so is if hotmail, yahoo mail or some other free email.
This is a scam, they will ask for money for medicals, fees, visas and all sorts of other things, then tell you there isn't a job.

Well I would think that if this came out of the blue and you never approached them in the beginning and had a job interview, how on earth would they know of your existence. You could try ringing them if you want to be bothered, but if it is a scam, there are probably thousands of others doing just the same and jamming their phone lines. Its just like all the spam/phishing you get from so-called banks on the internet.
