I believe there are several names for different types of birds, but chick is problem the most common. Also have heard the word hatchling.
I believe a baby chicken is a chick.
A baby chicken is a pullet and a baby rooster is a cockrell.
A baby dove is a squab as is a pigeon I believe.
A baby eagle is a fledgling or eaglet.
A baby duck is a duckling.
A baby goose is a gosling.
A baby owl is an owlet or fledgling.
A baby peafowl is a peachick.
A baby swan is a cygnet.
A baby turkey is a poult.
Hope this helps.
