"Fade into you" by Mazzy Star

Its an amazing song, one of my favorites.
It gathers all emotions tied into love, shows how deep love can go, and how love is not perfect either.
Kinda sums up how i feel love can be, love can bring you to the highest possible point in your life, but can also bring you down to the lowest. either way no one can truly live happily without it.

1972 was a year of slow ballads and to listen to many of them today would induce depression (Alone Again Naturally, Without You, Lean On Me, Baby Don't get Hooked On me, Song Sung Blue).

Amongst the elevator music were some gems like "Oh Girl!" by the Chi-lites.
My runnerup came out the same year "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul-amazing story of an affair.

However there was one song that absolutely STOPS TIME. It was the number one song of the year and the grammy winner and I have never heard another like it:

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE by Roberta Flack

Unchained Melody is the most beautiful love song ever, by the Righteous Bros. From 1965 when I heard it to now, I still get goosebumps and am so affected by its melody. I can't really pinpoint the exact reason for this feeling, it just is!

The greatest love song is Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You". It is the best and she sings it so beautifully. Everytime I hear this song it's like she's talking to me personally. The next best one is If I ain't got you by Miss Alicia Keys.

"God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys

I might not always love you
But 'long as there are stars above you
You never need to doubt it
I'll make you so sure about it
God only knows what I'd be without you

If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on, believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would livin' do me?
God only knows what I'd be without you

I will always love you by Whitney Houston... it made an impression on me because my family did not approve of the relationship I was having with someone with less means than we did. I was a spoiled stuck up young lady and did not see past what my family wanted until I met him.
