I think he has the best chance of any active pitchers he's young and throws 100mph

Dear Malone1423,

Well he certainly has the age and the stuff. But only time will tell. Nolan Ryan had 7 but he was also had tremendous perseverance to maintain the stuff he was throwing.

Remember too we are in a day and age where pitch counts come in and where pitchers don't go 9 innings as much as pitchers back in the day.

We have to wait and see. But Verlander has as good as a shot as anyone in the game right now.

Kindly,

Nickster

Lets not get ahead of ourselves just cuz he threw a no hitter. Theres no way he will throw 7 or 8, its just not happening. If anything 1 or 2 at the most. Thats like saying Mark Buehrle will throw 3 or 4 more becuz hes a lil older than Verlander. Not gonna happen, Buehrle probably will throw 1 more if that. Im a Sox fan, and i do like Justin Verlander, but to be realistic, im pretty sure no one has thrown 9 or 10 no hitters in their career. Justin Verlander if he stays healthy and doesnt become a Wood,Prior, or Liriano, will be a HOF type player.

I think that you're over hyping what he did so what Mark Bueherle threw one too. Does he have a chance too? No, so what if Verlander can throw 100 MPH doesn't matter hitters can catch up to the heat especially if they know its coming.

No. A o-o is a once in a lifetime thing.
Nolan Ryan had 7,
Bobo Holloman had a 0-0 in his first Ml start, and ended up with a lifetime 3-7 record.

We'll just have to wait & see.
Now, watch him throw one against the Phillies??!! I will be ONE UNHAPPY PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No.

If he has a long lasting career (and I am hoping he does, all in the old english "D") he might throw one or two more. He could end up with tons of K's though.

That's quite a milestone for anyone, but if he stays healthy I wouldn't know why he couldn't do it. He needs to just pitch and not try to throw a no no every time out.
