yes...
I first saw Metallica on their Black Album tour...it was called "An Evening With Metallica" LOL
they did not have any opening acts
Charleston, WV
my first guitar riff I could play was Poison's Talk Dirty to Me
I liked Bon Jovi a bit, but quickly gave over to Skid Row and Guns N' Roses
and Dangerous Toys, and Motley Crue
then, of course, Metallica at the very end of the 80's for me, and at the turn of the decade, Pantera...
thanks for asking

Yes, I am. Loud and proud skin from New Mexico, although I dress up now days due to work, I don't look metal. '80's loved Dokken, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, heck we all know we listened to all kinds of stuff back then. There wasn't as much genre's back then as there are now.
Concert back in the 80's, hmmm possibly the Judas Priest/Testament concert was good.

Yes, I was! Back in the day I LOVED a mix of old and new:
Zeppelin
Ozzy
Black Sabbath
Rush
Def Leppard
Judas Priest
AC DC
Iron Maiden
Van Halen
Kiss
Best shows from my 80's metal days:
AC DC 3 times- always killer
Kiss- Creatures of the night & Lick it up tours- LOUD
Iron Maiden- Piece of mind tour -killer stage set and show
Van Halen- first tour with Sammy (wished I could have seen Dave)
Eric Clapton live with special guest Mark Knopfler(Dire Straights)-back when he jammed and didn't play acousitcs
Ozzy with ZZ Top at Texas Jam in 86 0r 87
In the 90's saw Faith No More/Guns-n-Roses/Metallica KILLER show!
Rush - Chronicles tour- played all of 2112 (1st time since the album's tour in 70's.

Metal has always ruled. I never got to see any metal shows in the 80's but go now. I liked the good stuff Suicidal Tendencies was a fav and all speed and thrash was the stuff, even glam. I'm still into it. I saw Static X and Otep last week. Central Cali is were metal has always ruled, just hard to get any good bands to play local but its getting better.
