If you grill mount that sucker and then put the control box out of view, you shouldn't have to worry about it being spotted. I used to have one grill mounted and one under the rear bumper mounted (it doesn't detect as well under the rear bumper, but it's the best way to avoid having it spotted). Whether it's legal or not in your state some cops take offense to the idea of you protecting yourself. Oh, no speeding, btw. Bad, bad nasty too fast driver! Mustn't do!

What kind of truck? If it's a commercial vehicle, radar detectors are illegal under Federal law. But as to installing it, if you can stick a suction cup on a windshield it should be pretty straight forward.

Very easy. Mount it high, you'll get the best range. Hardwiring is not too bad, go to www.radardetector.net and ask how to hardwire the detector to your truck, I'd reccommend it.

if you are just using the regular cig lighter cable, plug it in and keep the detector wherever you're comfortable with having it.

just be careful driving around. not a ticket to speed.
