how does someone get experience as a forklift driver, even temp agencies want experience, even as a machinist in a factory nobodies born knowing how to do the job. I get so mad at that experience thing especially when you don't have anyone to put a word in for

You might be able to get experience and training at a trade school. Other-wise the employer has to pay for your training and any mistakes you make. It stinks because everyone has to start, but no one wants you to start at his place. Catch 22 sounds familiar about now.

Don't listen to Mad C's comments! Not everyone can be a forklift driver! I think it is admirable of you to want to do such a job. You have to have good concentration to drive a forklift and that is not a quality everyone has. It is possible to do anything you want these days with the internet. I think you should put a posting on Craigslist saying "Wanting to learn forklift operating," or something along those lines. Good luck and don't ever let others discourage you in your dreams!

fork lift? lol are you kidding me??? its so easy a monkey could do that.... try operating something that requires a skill and a machinist???? lol first you have to be mechanical inclined.. like me!! but I'm sure your not..... see if you can rebuild a car motor on your own ..then if you can ..then go for it
