What gives me piece of mind depends on where I am, and what troubles me. What you have to find, is what you know, trust that. If you like to lay back and look at shapes of the clouds, sit by a stream and listen to it babble (but say nothing lol) go to the airport and watch planes take off and land, sit on a bench in the mall eating an ice cream cone of your favorite flavor watching people pass.. There are many things that can help you those are just some of mine!! I also work, and usually get A LOT done when Im troubled because I focus on what I am doing, not to forget my problems, but to redirect my thought on something else and in my work I do find solutions sometimes.

I stand still outdoors and watch something move, like fog far off in the distance. As it slithers inland, it pushes air upwards and tussles the clouds. I watch the clouds, then, as they get shoved over a little mountain range and how they drop some of their moisture there in that crunching up against the green forests on the sides of the mountains. Disturbed by the drizzle, eagles lift from the trees in those forests and I watch them loft upwards with my binoculars. Up and up they soar on the thermals and come closer to me. Crows nearby notice the eagles and caw in protest. Blue Jays then raise a ruckus because they are in a feud with the crows and that makes a beagle down below in the village bark everytime. When that beagle barks, geese across the bay a ways start honking and lift off the land. That worries the ducks and they quack which alarms the terns and they start flying back and forth in these impossible flits and vortexes close over the bay which makes sturgeon the size of sofas leap from the water in excitement and splash back into the bay . . . . . somewhere in the watching of that kind of natural chain of events, I become calm and balanced again. Then, I have a nice cup of hot tea.

Whenever I'm in a difficult situation (which has been alot) I always think to the end of a week or day and imagine myself relaxing on a warm saturday morning near the pool and then when I'm in my bad situation I realise how insignificant it may seem when it can be over and done with within hours. For more worse situations (like my dad's death) I always practice my Sai swords and nunchaku training...Doing something you love really helps
